Duration:60 minutes
Abstract:
This webinar aims to look beyond classical tadpole-based borehole image interpretation by providing an overview of how the vertical resolution and wellbore wall coverage of borehole images are being leveraged to provide innovative geological and engineering solutions for hydrocarbon reservoirs and new energy projects. This will be illustrated by showcasing examples of borehole image-integrated, high resolution thin bed characterization, rock fabric and facies analysis, advanced fracture characterization and structural visualization. Please join us to gain insights on how SLB can extend the value of your borehole image datasets.

Speakers
Nicole Lewczynski U.S. Land Senior Geologist Oilfield - GSS Mudlogging US North Am Dist Nicole Lewczynski is currently Senior Borehole Geologist for SLB with 13 years of experience. She graduated with her Master of Science degree in 2010 at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Nicole specializes in interpreting borehole image data from conventional and unconventional basins all over the United States, and integrating that interpretation to produce complex structural, stratigraphic, facies, and fracture models. She has a “never give up” attitude and enjoys problem solving. Most of her free time revolves around her wonderful family and their many activities. She also enjoys weightlifting, hiking, and rock climbing.
Daniel Hamilton U.S. Land Senior Geologist Oilfield - GSS Mudlogging US North Am Dist Daniel Hamilton has done borehole geology since 2010. He has experience interpreting borehole images of every variety in conventional reservoirs, shale basins, deep water basins and most recently, geothermal and carbon capture projects. Points of interest includes structure, stratigraphy, fault analysis. Daniel also has extensive experience in fracture and stress analysis, particularly with regard to fracture propagation in shale, carbon capture and geothermal projects. Daniel is also experienced in furthering the use of images and enhancing value extraction via integration with various geomodeling efforts.
Andy Wray North America Borehole Geology Domain Champion Oilfield - US DS SERVICES OKC Andy Wray serves as the North America borehole geology domain champion at SLB's Oklahoma City office, where he excels in delivering advanced geological interpretations of borehole image data to customers across the US land, Alaska, and offshore. Andy received a Bachelor of Science degree in physical geography from The University of Hull, England, in 1996 and an MSc with distinction in petroleum geology from The University of Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1998. After graduate school, he joined Anglo-Siberian Oil in London as a geologist and later became a petrophysicist at Amerada Hess International, also in London. In 2002, Andy began his journey with SLB in the UK, ultimately transitioning to roles in SLB's Bakersfield, Denver, and Pittsburgh offices. His contributions at SLB extend beyond borehole image interpretation, encompassing geosteering, reservoir saturation tool (RST) interpretation, and distributed temperature interpretation. Andy is an active member of the AAPG and the Oklahoma Geological Foundation.
